Lina Sabic played a critical role in selecting and implementing RFID within Pacsun. Because she develops and owns the overall rollout strategy to stores, it was her responsibility to ensure the selected RFID partner and solution met the brand’s needs. She worked collaboratively with IT, buying teams and Pacsun’s distribution center to ensure all parts of the business were ready for this change.
Pacsun has been expanding upon its tech stack to better meet the needs and expectations of its customers. Pacsun decided to implement a pilot program for the Nedap RFID solution to test its ability to improve inventory accuracy and enhance omnichannel fulfillment capabilities, including increased usage of buy online, pick up in-store (BOPIS) functionality. Pacsun also has a goal of reducing split shipments (when an ecommerce order with more than one product ships in multiple packages) to reduce costs and improve customer experiences.
Lina runs weekly proof-of-concept meetings with pilot stores to identify and resolve issues as they edge closer to an all-store rollout. The team is currently in the final stages of ensuring all products are RFID tagged, and the pilot has been running smoothly since its inception.
Although Lina is known to wear many hats, she is helping Pacsun stay at the forefront of new technologies and continues to drive her vision and expectations seamlessly.
