Sowmiya is Co-founder and CTO of Lily AI, a female-founded retail AI company that empowers brands and retailers to bridge the gap between merchant-speak and customer-speak by using a suite of AI capabilities including Gen AI, computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), machine learning and deep learning.

Sowmiya is an immigrant founder committed to transferring her knowledge to the next generation of AI entrepreneurs through active mentorship and engineering coaching. She holds a Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor’s in Information Technology from PSG College of Technology (India).

Sowmiya has driven an empathy-first culture across Lily AI that puts the customer, and their customer’s customer, at the center of everything the company does.
