How do you explain your profession to people outside of the industry? What do you find most exciting and/or rewarding about this work?

While at BeatBox, Marissa has spurred 131% volume growth and a 54% increase in points of distribution for a current total of over 45,000 retail accounts. Her marketing efforts have now landed BeatBox as the #2 ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail in total multi-unit outlets and convenience.

Marissa leads year-long, seasonal, and custom retail account campaigns with successes such as: Beat Boring Summer, Pass the Punch, and BeatBox and Bubbles. She oversees the design, ordering and execution of all point of sale materials as well as digital and ecommerce mail-in-rebates and instant redeem coupons. Moreover, she creates all out-of-home advertising campaigns, including print materials, billboards, truck wraps, video boards and more. She drives all public relations, including press releases and collaborative retail partnerships. She works not only with the retail trade channel but triangulates the full customer journey by combining social media, field marketing and retail activation.

In addition to her incredible career accomplishments, Marissa is a chair for St. Jude of St. Louis Fundraising events and campaigns and is a founding member of HeartBeat Foundation for BeatBox Beverages.
