How do you explain your profession to people outside of the industry? What do you find most exciting and/or rewarding about this work?

At 18 years old, Gabby knew she wanted to be the CEO of an American fashion brand one day. Since then, she has worked her entire career in premium apparel and fashion retail. She recently joined DVF as their Head of APAC, at a time when the business was declining in revenue and profitability. She proposed a global digital transformation plan to reinvest in their technology with the goal of making DVF the most respected name in fashion, and was quickly promoted to President & CEO at a critical juncture for the brand.

DVF has always had a reputation synonymous with luxury dresses; it just needed an updated marketing strategy. Through Gabby’s leadership, she turned around DVF’s business model and now, the brand is growing 20% year over year and reaching profitability with a much nimbler marketing team. By taking an iconic but stagnating brand and returning it to growth mode, Gabby has helped cement the future of DVF’s legacy—and her own.
