How do you explain your profession to people outside of the industry? What do you find most exciting and/or rewarding about this work?

I say that we “enable brands to grow as fast as consumers shop.” I think the most rewarding part about this work is hearing our brand partners talk about how MikMak has helped make them heroes within their own organizations by arming them with game-changing insights about their customers. We have a Slack channel called #clientlove dedicated to feedback just like this, and it’s my favorite thing to look at every day.

What milestone or accomplishment have you made in your career that you are most proud of?

It felt amazing when we surpassed 100 employees last year. I always said that I wanted to “build the next great company people want to work for” and hitting this milestone felt like that dream was finally becoming reality. Overall, I’m just so proud to be able to work day in and day out with a passionate, smart, kind and diverse team.

What is one notable achievement (personal or professional) that you've made over the past year?

Professionally, I was humbled and honored to be inducted into the The Advertising Hall of Fame last fall. Personally, I am getting married in the fall to an incredibly brilliant woman.

What is a piece of media that has inspired you professionally?

I get a ton of inspiration from books, and a few months ago I had the pleasure of reading Indra Nooyi’s “My Life In Full.” I’ve always admired Indra’s strength, intelligence and perseverance, and this book really brought it all to life. She’s incredible.
