How do you explain your profession to people outside of the industry? What do you find most exciting and/or rewarding about this work?
I tell them that not only do I make sure our stores are safe and clean to shop in, but I am also a Helium Guru! Most people do not think about the nuances needed to fill up the balloons we use to party, but helium has been an eye-opening opportunity for me as well as Party City Holdings Inc! It has allowed me the ability to think creatively, build operations and test new ideas. It is what keeps me a float! (Pun intended!)
What milestone or accomplishment have you made in your career that you are most proud of?
After starting as a temp four years ago, I was promoted this year to Senior Manager, responsible for over $100 million in annual spend.
What is one notable achievement (personal or professional) that you've made over the past year?
I was selected as part of the Change Champion Council to help influence our company’s new strategies and ways of working.
What is a piece of media that has inspired you professionally?
Gary Vaynerchuk (also known as GaryVee) has been a major inspiration in terms of the type of leader that I want to be! It also helps that we are both from New Jersey!
