How do you explain your profession to people outside of the industry? What do you find most exciting and/or rewarding about this work?

I always describe my profession as ‘design.’ I am a believer that if you can design one thing you can design anything. Design process and aesthetics tend to translate throughout disciplines. Seeing people interact with my designs is the most rewarding part. I am particularly interested in the idea of designing accessible yet premium products and experiences. I want my work to be approachable and intuitive, but feel new and exciting.

What milestone or accomplishment have you made in your career that you are most proud of?

Five years at sweetgreen, 100+ new store openings and an IPO. It’s been an incredible experience full of amazing and talented people.
