Like many entrepreneurial success stories, Shokrian’s business idea came about after having a frustrating shopping experience. He realized that people needed an easier way to buy the basics, so in 2011 Shokrian launched the first-ever underwear subscription service, combining quality underwear, good customer service and a simplified shopping experience. Today, MeUndies is a global lifestyle brand with more than 15 million pairs sold in all 50 states and 120 countries. Under Shokrian, MeUndies opened its first brick-and-mortar store in Los Angeles in 2018. Now it has an expanded product line that includes bralettes, socks, loungewear, swimwear and BuddyBands for dogs. Outside of his business, Shokrian serves as a board member of Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles. He is also a founding member of the Society of Young Philanthropists, a nonprofit organization for young professionals to contribute their resources and skills to local and global communities. Finally, Shokrian started the MeUndies Gives Program, which partners with organizations working to support women, the LGBTQ+ community and those struggling with mental health issues and addiction.
