Sica launched his retail career as a copywriter for Cabela’s catalog and now drives strategy for Batteries Plus. He focuses on connecting strategies to people and delivers consistent, predictable results for shareholders. Sica’s background in marketing allows him to visualize and articulate business strategy in a way that’s accessible to all employees. He’s also a self-professed “process geek” who enjoys relentlessly and methodically solving tough problems — like post-acquisition integration and building a sales program from scratch — in innovative ways that prioritize people in addition to business results. In 2020, Sica quickly helped the organization (and more than 260 franchise owners) stay connected during the pandemic, from regional calls with owners to walk-through cleaning practices to first-of-their-kind video features and podcasts. During the pandemic, he executed two of the largest store acquisitions in the history of Batteries Plus. Sica also reached the annual plan goal in only half a year with 30 franchise signings.
